Michael Crawford
Tracell Greene
Reginald Brown
The Prince George’s County
Police Department has arrested three suspects in a drug related-shooting.
The suspects are identified as 21-year-old Michael Crawford, of the 5800 block
of Field Place in Northeast Washington, 22-year-old Tracell Greene, of the 3300
block of Blaine Street in Northeast Washington, and 34-year-old Reginald Brown,
of the 6300 block of 64th Avenue in Riverdale.
On November 20, 2013, at
about 9:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 6300 block of 64th Avenue for the report of a shooting. Crawford was found inside a vehicle,
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a
hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The preliminary investigation reveals Crawford
and Green sought out Brown, with the intention of robbing him of money and
drugs. Crawford and Green met with Brown in a car, just outside Brown’s
home. After Brown entered the car, Crawford pulled out a gun and demanded
drugs. Brown struggled briefly with Crawford and Greene, and was able to
escape from the car. Crawford and Greene then started to drive
away. As they sped away, Brown pulled out his own gun and fired several
times into the fleeing vehicle.
Crawford and Greene were
both arrested on November 20, 2013. Detectives also obtained a warrant
for Brown. He was arrested without incident on November 22, 2013.
During a search of Brown’s home detectives recovered a handgun, shotgun and
rifle, along with trace amounts of suspected marijuana.
Crawford and Greene both
face charges related to the attempted armed robbery. Brown faces charges
related to shooting the fleeing vehicle. Crawford remains hospitalized
with non-life threatening injuries. Green and Brown are in custody at the
Department of Corrections.
