PGPD Investigates Fatal Collision in Upper Marlboro

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Upper Marlboro.
On December 10, 2013, at approximately 4:15 am, patrol officers responded to the intersection of Tam- O-Shanter Drive and Fairhaven Avenue for the report of a collision. When they arrived, they discovered a single car off of the roadway. The driver was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals the car was traveling northbound on Tam-O-Shanter Drive approaching Fairhaven Avenue. For reasons which remain unclear, the driver lost control and left the roadway, striking a tree and a fence.
