PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Temple Hills

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal crash in Temple Hills last Friday. The victim is 18-year-old Jewel Angel Smith of John Adams Drive in Temple Hills. Investigators would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed this collision.

On July 15th, at about 11:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 7300 block of Temple Hills Road for a collision involving two vehicles.

The preliminary investigation reveals Smith and a second car were both traveling southbound on Temple Hills Road when the vehicles collided. Investigators are working to determine what caused the crash. Smith was pronounced dead on the scene. The second driver suffered what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.
