The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation into a now fatal shooting that occurred in August in Landover. The victim is 20-year-old Jamal Crawley Jr. of Landover.
On August 16, 2026, at approximately 8:30 pm, officers responded to a shooting in the 500 block of Garrett A. Morgan Boulevard. Officers located Crawley Jr. outside suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s). He died of his injuries on August 23, 2026. On September 14, 2026, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the victim’s death a homicide.
Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive.
