PGPD Investigating Fatal Pedestrian Hit-and-Run in Lanham

UPDATE 10/28/22: The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Eduardo Josa Aguilar of Hyattsville. 

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Lanham. Investigators are working to confirm the identity of the deceased pedestrian so his family can be notified.  

On October 25, 2022, at approximately 12:10 am, officers responded to the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Whitfield Chapel Road.  

The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver was traveling westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. For reasons now under investigation, the driver struck the victim in the roadway. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle did not remain on the scene. At this time, there is no information on the involved vehicle.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision in Fort Washington

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision in Fort Washington. The deceased driver is 25-year-old Ashley Henson of Temple Hills.   

On October 24, 2022, at approximately 10:10 pm, officers responded to the 2300 block of Tucker Road for a single-vehicle collision.   

The preliminary investigation revealed Henson was traveling westbound along Tucker Road, when for reasons under investigation, she lost control of her car which ultimately overturned. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision in the Landover area. The victim is 47-year-old Gerber Mejia Reyes of Hyattsville.  

On October 22, 2022, at approximately 8:10 pm, officers responded to the 7100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway. 

The preliminary investigation revealed Mejia Reyes was attempting to cross the roadway at the time of the collision. He was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene. The driver was not injured.

PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in District Heights

The Homicide Unit is working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot a man on Thursday in District Heights. The victim in 28-year-old Kenneth Morris III of Capitol Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On October 20, 2022, at approximately 2:05 pm, officers responded to a gas station in the 3200 block of Walters Lane. The victim was located in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and determine a motive.
