Robbery Suspect

We’d like this first suspect to run our way and turn himself in. He was caught on surveillance camera running from a robbery in the 3400 block of Claire Drive on June 1st around 3:30 pm. The investigation reveals he approached the victim, demanded his property and then the suspect ran away. The victim wasn’t hurt. Burglary Suspect

We’re looking for Auctavis Blackwell of the 5700 block of Southern Avenue in Southeast DC in connection with a burglary. The burglary happened on May 14^th on Bellbrook Court in Temple Hills. Please call 301-749-5064 with any information on where we can find him.

Robbery Investigation

The suspect in these photos is wanted for a robbery on June 1^st around 9:15 am. The robbery happened at Annapolis Road at Finns Lane. Surveillance Video of Robbery Suspects

Detectives with our Regional Investigation Division – Central Region are asking our community to take a look at this surveillance video. We’re looking for the two men seen on the video in connection with two separate armed robberies and one attempted robbery. In each of these cases, the suspect had a gun. None of the victims were hurt. The suspects are linked to three robberies in the Suitland Road area between April 30^th and May 12^th. Alert School Resource Officer Spots & Helps Arrest Homicide Suspect

On Tuesday, one of our School Resource Officers spotted the suspect wanted for a recent homicide in Temple Hills. The suspect, 21-year-old Jamual Toye of Silver Hill Court in Forestville, was walking toward a shopping center around 8:00 am in the 7000 block of Allentown Road. Our Homicide Unit had a warrant for Toye for the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Timothy Turner on Allentown Road on May 16^th.  

The school resource officer, Corporal Myron Young, was in his cruiser when he first saw Toye. He immediately called for backup officers while keeping an eye on the suspect. Moments later, Toye boarded a Metrobus. Corporal Young and additional officers followed the bus for a short distance before pulling it over. Corporal Young and a second officer boarded the bus. Toye threw a drink at Corporal Young and managed to jump off the bus. Toye ran a short distance and tossed a gun before being taken into custody by another officer in the 3400 block of Brinkley Road.

Toye is charged with first and second degree murder. Preliminarily, the motive for the fatal shooting appears to be a drug-related robbery. He’s in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

PGPD Searches for Missing Teen

Updated June 7, 2016: Mr. Ramos has been found in good health. 

Sergio Ramos

The Prince George’s County Police Department is asking for the public’s help in searching for a teen. He is 16-year-old Sergio Ramos of Hyattsville. 

Ramos was last seen in the 6200 block of Sligo Parkway on June 4, 2016, at about 8:00 pm.

Ramos is 5’6”, 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, gray t-shirt, and a green earing in his left ear riding on a skateboard.

Detectives Investigate Homicide in Temple Hills

The Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting in Temple Hills early this morning. The victim is 48-year-old Edward Payne of 14th Street in Northeast Washington. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

At about 1:25 am, patrol officers were called to the 4800 block of Stamp Road for a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the victim in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to identify a motive and the suspect(s).
