Identity of Suspect Sought in Attempt Bank Robbery of Educational System Federal Credit Union (Surveillance Pictures Released)

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with an attempt robbery of the Educational System Federal Credit Union (ESFCU) in Bowie, Maryland yesterday afternoon.

On July 20, 2011 at approximately 4:54 p.m., a suspect walked into the ESFCU located in the 4800 block of Glenn Dale Road and displayed a gun while demanding money. The suspect fled the bank towards a nearby wood line without obtaining funds from the bank. Patrols officers and a K-9 unit immediately responded to the scene and began a canvass of the area, locating the weapon used in the attempt robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white shirt around his face, a black long sleeve shirt, dark colored pants and shoes, as well as black gloves.
