The Prince
George’s County Police Department is investigating a shooting in Chapel Oaks.
On December
4, 2012, at approximately 3:30 pm, police officers responded to the 1200 block
of Nye Street in Chapel Oaks for a shooting. Upon arrival, police
officers found a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound to his forearm.
The 16 year-old victim was taken to a local hospital in stable condition and is expected to be released this evening.
The preliminary investigation reveals
that an armed suspect(s) approached the
victim on foot and demanded his cell phone. The victim refused and was
then shot in the arm. The suspect(s) then ran away with the victim’s cell
phone.
