The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in New Carrollton. The collision occurred on July 15, 2015. The victim died of her injuries on August 25, 2015. She is 39-year-old Sandra Luna of Jeffrey Avenue in Lanham. Investigators would like to talk to anyone who witnessed or has any information on this case.
The preliminary investigation reveals that shortly after 7:00 pm, Luna attempted to cross the street in the 8300 block of Annapolis Road when she was struck by a car. She was not in a crosswalk. The driver did not stop. The striking car is described as a dark-colored Toyota.
