Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed a man Sunday evening in District Heights. The victim is 28-year-old Shakir Taylor of District Heights.
On September 12, 2021, at approximately 8:30 pm, patrol officers
responded to the 2000 block of Addison Road South for the report of a
shooting. Once on scene, officers located Taylor inside of a SUV suffering
from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals one other adult male and a
juvenile were also shot during this incident. Their injuries do not appear to be
life-threatening.
During the investigation, detectives determined the shooting took
place in the 7600 block of Marlboro Pike.
Detectives are working to establish a motive and
identify the suspect(s) in the case.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Tiroteo en District Heights
Detectives de nuestra Unidad de Homicidios buscan arrestar al sospechoso(s) quien mató a tiros a un individuo el domingo en la noche, en el área de District Heights. La víctima fue identificada como Shakir Taylor, de 28 años y vecino de District Heights.
El 12 de septiembre de 2021, a eso de las 8:30 pm, oficiales de patrulla acudieron a la cuadra 2000 de Addison Road South tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Al llegar a la escena, los oficiales hallaron a Taylor con una herida de bala, dentro de una SUV. A este le declararon muerto en la escena.
La investigación preliminar reveló que otro adulto y un joven advinieron fuego durante este incidente. Las heridas de estos no aparentaron ser graves.
Durante el curso de la investigación, los detectives determinaron que el tiroteo se suscitó en la cuadra 7600 de Marlboro Pike.
