Shooting Victim Dies of Injuries

Detectives with the Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit assumed the investigation into a shooting that occurred earlier this month in Temple Hills. The victim is 29-year-old Anton Meachum of Temple Hills. He died of his injuries this week. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case. 

On August 14, 2022, at approximately 3:00 am, patrol officers responded to the 2600 block of Colebrook Drive for the report of a shooting. Meachum was discovered outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he died on August 29, 2022.


Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a motive.
