The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run in Adelphi. Investigators are working to identify the pedestrian so his family can be notified.
On August 20, 2023, at approximately 3:15 am, the victim was located in
the roadway in the 2000 block of University Boulevard.
The preliminary investigation
revealed the victim was struck by a vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. The
striking driver did not remain on the scene. Investigators are actively working
to identify the driver and locate the involved vehicle.
