The Prince George's County Police Department's Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving a scooter that occurred Tuesday evening in the town of Brentwood. The deceased scooter operator is 60-year-old Jerome Marshall of Washington, DC.

On April 15, 2025, at approximately 6:10 pm, officers responded to the 4500 block of Rhode Island Avenue for a collision involving a scooter and a vehicle. Marshall was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased a short time later. The involved driver was not injured.

The preliminary investigation revealed the scooter and vehicle collided in the northbound lanes of Rhode Island Avenue. The cause is under investigation.
