PGPD Investigating Fatal Shooting in Langley Park

 The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting at a community center in Langley Park. The victim is 16-year-old Angel Guzman of Silver Spring. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime. A cash reward is being offered for information related to this ongoing case.

On June 26, 2026, at approximately 1:30 pm, officers with the Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George’s County Division, and Prince George’s County Police officers responded to the Langley Park Community Center in the 1500 block of Merrimac Drive for the report of an unresponsive male. The victim was located outside suffering from a gunshot wound(s). He died at the scene.

PGPD Homicide Unit detectives are actively working to determine a motive and identify a suspect(s).

The Prince George’s County Police Department investigates all homicides that occur in the jurisdiction of Maryland-National Capital Park Police, Prince George’s County Division.
