Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives
are investigating a homicide in the city of District
Heights on Sunday. The victim is 51-year-old Charles Wyche of Sero
Estates Drive in Fort Washington. Preliminarily, detectives
do not believe this was a random crime. A reward of up to $25,000 is
being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On October 1st, at
about 10:50 am, District Heights Police officers
responded to the 6500 block of Kipling Parkway for the report of an unconscious
man. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside in an
alleyway suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to
identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case.
