Detectives Release Video of Person of Interest in Sexual Assault in City of Bowie

Updated October 26, 2017.  Detectives have identified and spoken with the man in this video. He is not believed to be involved in this sexual assault. Investigators continue to actively investigate this case and urge anyone with information on a suspect to be call 1-866-411-TIPS. A cash reward is available and you will not need to give your name.

Canvass in Bowie Neighborhood Planned for This Evening



Prince George’s County Police detectives today released video of a man on a bicycle who they would like to talk to regarding a sexual assault in the City of Bowie.

On October 23rd, at about 4:30 pm, a man grabbed a woman who was jogging in the area of Jennings Mill Drive and Jennings Lane. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim on a playground. She was able to break free from the suspect who then ran from the area.

The suspect is described as an African American male, heavy set and was wearing a gray-hooded shirt and black pants.

This evening, detectives plan to canvass the neighborhood where the assault occurred in an effort to gather additional information. The canvass is planned for 5:00 pm.
