The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction
Unit is investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Saturday
morning in Accokeek. The deceased driver is 57-year-old James Endter of
Fairfax, Virginia.
On June 6th, at approximately 12:45 am,
officers responded to southbound Indian Head Highway at Berry Road for a
single-vehicle collision. The preliminary investigation revealed Endter was
traveling southbound on Indian Head Highway, when for reasons that are
under investigation, his car mounted the median strip and struck a pole. Endter
was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. There were no other
occupants in his car.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Choque en Accokeek
La Unidad de Análisis y
Reconstrucción de Choques investiga un mortal choque vehicular ocurrido temprano
en la mañana del sábado en Accokeek. El fenecido conductor fue identificado
como James Endter, de 57 años de edad y vecino de Fairfax, Virginia.
El 6 de junio, a eso de las 12:45 am,
oficiales del Condado acudieron al área sur de Indian Head Highway y Berry Road
tras recibir información sobre un choque de un solo vehículo. La investigación
preliminar reveló que Endter viajaba sobre Indian Head Highway en dirección sur
cuando, por razones que aún permanecen bajo investigación, su vehículo se trepó
sobre la zanja medianera e impactó un poste. A Endter le trasladaron a un
hospital en donde le declararon muerto. No había más ocupantes dentro del
vehículo.
