Homicide Unit detectives are working to identify and arrest the suspect(s) who fatally shot 43-year-old Edwin Rodriguez-Melendrez of Lewisdale.
On June 1, 2021, at approximately 10:05 pm, PGPD officers responded to the 2500 block of Avalon Place in Lewisdale for a shooting. They located the victim outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He died a short time later at a hospital.
Detectives are actively working to identify suspect(s) and determine a motive for this shooting.
