Detectives Charge Suspect in Domestic-Related Homicide

Homicide Unit detectives charged a man in connection with the murder of his girlfriend. The suspect is 78-year-old Booker Wilkins of Temple Hills. He is charged with the fatal shooting of 67-year-old Sandra Watson of Saint Pauls, North Carolina.  

On September 4, 2022, at approximately 11:15 am, patrol officers responded to the 5300 block of Frazier Terrace for a shooting.  When they arrived, they discovered Watson inside of residence suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.  

The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect shot the victim during a dispute.  

Wilkins is charged with second-degree murder and other related charges. He is in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.  Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 301-516-2512.
