Detectives Identify and Arrest Suspect in 2021 Homicide in Chillum

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested a suspect in connection to a fatal shooting in November 2021. The suspect is 27-year-old Beran Samuels of Chillum. He is charged with the murder of 31-year-old Oshane Davis of Greenbelt.   

On November 3, 2021, officers responded to the 1300 block of Chillum Road for a reported shooting. Once on scene, officers located Davis at a business suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  

The preliminary investigation revealed Davis had been shot at an apartment building in the 5700 block of 16^th Avenue in Chillum and drove himself to the business to seek help. 

Samuels is charged with first degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Detectives Identifican y Arrestan a Sospechoso en Caso de Homicidio Ocurrido en Chillum Durante el 2021

La Unidad de Homicidios del Departamento de la Policía del Condado de Prince George’s arrestó a un sospechoso en conexión a un mortal tiroteo que se registró en Noviembre del 2021. El sospechoso fue identificado como Beran Samuels, de 27 años y vecino de Chillum. A este se le imputa el asesinato de Oshane Davis, de 31 años y vecino de Greenbelt.

El 3 de noviembre de 2021, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 1300 de Chillum Road tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Al llegar a la escena, los oficiales hallaron a Davis frente un negocio, con múltiples heridas de bala. A este le trasladaron a un hospital en donde le declararon muerto.

La investigación preliminar reveló que a Davis le dispararon en un edificio de apartamentos ubicado en la cuadra 5700 de 16th Avenue en Chillum y condujo por su cuenta hasta el negocio para buscar auxilio.

Samuels enfrenta cargos por asesinato en primer grado, entre otros. Este se encuentra bajo la custodia del Departamento de Corrección, sin derecho a fianza.
