The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis
and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision. The
identity of the deceased pedestrian, an adult female, will be released once her
family is located and notified.
On March 22, 2024, at approximately 4:50 am, officers
responded to the 3600 block of Powder Mill Road. Once on scene, they
located the pedestrian in the roadway suffering from trauma. She
was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver
struck the pedestrian in the eastbound lanes of Powder Mill Road. The
driver remained on the scene. He was not injured.
