The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal pedestrian collision. The identity of the deceased pedestrian, an adult male, will be released once his family is notified.
On April 20, 2024, at approximately 8:40 pm, officers
responded to the 9400 block of Annapolis Road in Lanham for a collision
involving a pedestrian. Once on scene, officers located the
pedestrian in the roadway suffering from trauma. He was pronounced
deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver
struck the pedestrian in the westbound lanes of Annapolis Road. The driver
remained on the scene. He was not injured.
