PGPD Investigating Fatal Collision Involving E-Bike

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving an e-bike that occurred Wednesday evening in the unincorporated area of District Heights. The identity of the rider, an adult male, will be released once his family is located and notified.

 

On August 27, 2025, at approximately 6:45 pm, officers responded to Pennsylvania Avenue approaching Walters Lane for reports of a collision.

 

The preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was traveling on Pennsylvania Avenue when the collision occurred with the bicyclist in the southbound lanes. The cyclist died at the scene. The involved driver remained on the scene and was not injured.
