PGPD Investigates Homicide in Capitol Heights

Updated January 21, 2015: The victim is 24-year-old Earl Atwood Ross of Coral Gardens Court in Capitol Heights. Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) in this case. The preliminary investigation suggests this was not a random act. Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS. A reward of up to $25,000 is available. Tipsters never have to give their name.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Capitol Heights. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.

On January 20, 2015, at about 10:15 am, patrol officers were called to the 1300 block of Coral Gardens Court for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found a man outside of a home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at a hospital a short time later.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

The victim’s name will be released once his family has been notified.
