PGPD Investigates Homicide in Temple Hills

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Temple Hills. The victim is identified as 47-year-old Kenneth Washington, of Good Hope Avenue in Temple Hills.

On January 8, 2015, at about 3:30 pm, patrol officers were called to the 3100 block of Good Hope Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Washington inside his apartment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Based on the preliminary investigation, detectives do not believe this was a random act.  The motive appears to have been robbery.  Investigators are still working to identify the suspect(s) in this case.
