Police Make Arrests in Homicide Investigation on Bald Eagle Road

             Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit has arrested Andre Sanders, 40, and Christopher Damon Sanders, 24, in connection with the homicide investigation of Anton DeMichael Agurs, 43, occurring last week in Oxon Hill, Maryland.


             Homicide Detectives identified Andre Sanders of the 600 block of Audrey Lane in Oxon Hill and Christopher Sanders of the 1100 block of Allison Street NW in Washington, DC as suspects in this case and obtained warrants for their arrests. Andre and Christopher Sanders were arrested on unrelated charges by the Metropolitan Police Department. Both individuals were extradited back to Prince George’s County early yesterday on 1st degree murder warrants and have been remanded to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections on a no bond status.

             On June 7, 2011 at approximately 11:28 p.m., patrol officers responded to Bald Eagle Road and Oxon Hill Farm Road for a report to check on the welfare of an unconscious person lying in the roadway. Upon arrival, patrol officers found Anton Agurs, of the 1700 block of Gould Street in Capitol Heights, suffering from trauma to his body. He was pronounced dead on scene.
