PGPD Investigating Fatal Motorcycle Collision in Capitol Heights

The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal motorcycle collision in Capitol Heights. The victim is 29-year-old Christopher Jordan of Applegarth Place in Capitol Heights.

On July 29th, at about 11:20 pm, patrol officers were called to the intersection of Central Avenue at Cindy Lane for a crash. When officers arrived, they found the motorcycle rider, later identified as Jordan, suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals the motorcycle was traveling westbound on Central Avenue approaching Cindy Lane and a car was traveling eastbound on Central Avenue. The car attempted to make a left turn onto Cindy Lane when it collided with the motorcycle. The collision forced the car to collide with another car that was stopped at the intersection. Both drivers were not hurt and remained on the scene.
