PGPD Investigating Suspicious Behavior in Oxon Hill

Prince George's County Police detectives are investigating the report of suspicious behavior this morning in Oxon Hill.

At approximately 8:45 am, a young girl was walking in the area of Livingston Road and Hart Road toward Oxon Hill Elementary School. The girl tells officers a man driving a gray pickup truck pulled up next to her and attempted to lure her into his vehicle. At that point, a second, unrelated car pulled up behind the suspect's vehicle. The second driver honked at the suspect whose pickup was impeding traffic. The suspect drove away and the young girl ran off. She reported the incident once she arrived at school.

The man is described as a Hispanic male in his 30s. The man did not touch or grab the girl. PGPD was alerted of the incident and sent additional resources to the school this afternoon prior to dismissal. At this time, there are no additional reports of this kind in that area.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have seen this vehicle or has information that could assist in their investigation to call 301-772-4910.
