Identity of Suspect Sought in Attempt BB&T Bank Robbery in Beltsville

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with an attempt robbery of the BB&T Bank in Beltsville, Maryland earlier today.

At approximately 12:48 p.m., a female suspect walked into the BB&T Bank located in the 11600 block of Beltsville Drive and passed a note to a bank teller demanding money while implying that she had a gun. The bank employee pressed the holdup alarm and alerted the other employees to the robbery. The suspect immediately fled on foot without obtaining funds from the bank.

The suspect is described as a black female approximately 35-42 years old, around 5’7”, and weighing between 170-180lbs. She was last seen wearing a black hat, navy blue jacket, gray shirt, black shorts, white shoes, and was holding a black purse.
