Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Forestville

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a double shooting which left one man dead and a female injured yesterday evening in Forestville, Maryland.

On November 1, 2011, at approximately 8:11 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 3300 block of Walters Lane for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, patrol officers found both victims in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim, identified as Anthony Ray Washington, 27, of the 3300 block of Walters Lane in Forestville, was pronounced deceased on scene by Fire/EMS personnel. The second victim, a 33 year old female also from Forestville, was transported to a local hospital and treated for a non-life threatening injury. Homicide detectives are currently working to identify the suspect and establish a motive.
