The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Public Affairs Division has recently experienced some staffing changes. We have also recently revised the business hours for the Press Information Office.
Pending her promotion to the rank of Sergeant, Corporal Erica Johnson has left the Public Affairs Division to serve as a patrol squad supervisor at our District III Station. Additionally, Captain Tammy Sparkman, who was recently promoted, has left the Public Affairs Division to serve as the Assistant Commander of our District V Station. We thank them both for their many years of dedicated service to the Public Affairs Division, and wish them much success in their new assignments. Joining the Public Affairs Division is Captain Kara Lloyd who will serve as the Assistant Commander of the division.
Business hours for the Press Information Office will now be Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 11 PM. After hours, and on weekends, Press Information Officers will be “on call” for breaking news stories. Contact information for the on-duty Press Information Officer will be available on the office’s voicemail at 301-772-4710.
