The Homicide Unit assumed the investigation into a now fatal stabbing that occurred last Friday. The victim is 68-year-old Daniel Gregory Thompson of Kentland. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.
On October 15, 2021, at approximately 1:30 am, Thompson was transported to a hospital for treatment of stab wounds. The preliminary investigation revealed Thompson had been stabbed in a home in the 6700 block of W. Forest Road in the Kentland area. He died of his injuries on Sunday.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and arrest a suspect(s).

PGPD Investiga Mortal Apuñalamiento en Kentland
La Unidad de Homicidios asumió la investigación de lo que se determinó haber sido un mortal apuñalamiento ocurrido el pasado viernes. La víctima fue identificada como Daniel Gregory Thompson, de 68 años y vecino de Kentland. De manera preliminar, los detectives entienden que no se trató de un crimen al azar.
