The Homicide Unit is leading the investigation into a fatal shooting that took place Thursday evening in Suitland. The decedent is a juvenile male. His name will be released once family has been informed and given time to make notifications.
 
On June 27, 2024, at approximately 6:40 pm, officers responded to the 7400 block of Towne Park Road for a shooting. The decedent was located outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene. A second person, an adult male, was also shot. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
 
The preliminary investigation into this incident suggests more than one individual fired a weapon and multiple individuals were armed at the scene. One firearm was recovered outside in the courtyard area. Detectives continue to work to determine the circumstances and the motive for the shooting. Detectives are in consultation with the Prince George’s County State’s Attorney’s Office regarding this investigation. At this time, there are no charges against any of those involved. The investigation continues.

PGPD Investiga Cadena de Robos Comerciales

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing woman. She is identified as 82-year-old Laura Gordon. She was last seen in the 2300 block of Houston Street in Suitland at approximately 2:00 pm on June 19, 2024. 

Ms. Gordon is a black female, 5’6" tall and 150 pounds. Last seen driving a silver 2013 Toyota Corolla, MD tag 5BK8332. 

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Prince George’s County Police Department, Missing Person Section at 301-772-8970.
