The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision that occurred in the town of Seat Pleasant on Saturday evening. The deceased passenger in one of the involved vehicles is 35-year-old Ashley Turner of Bladensburg.

On June 1, 2024, at approximately 10:45 pm, officers responded to a collision in the area of Central Avenue and Pepper Mill Drive. Turner was transported to a hospital where she was pronounced deceased several hours later. The injuries of the involved drivers and additional passengers are not considered life-threatening.

The preliminary investigation revealed the two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue. The cause of the collision is under investigation.
