Prince George’s County’s Automated Speed Enforcement Program - Warning Period Coming to an End

Prince George’s County, Maryland…September 21, 2011, will mark the end of the 30-day warning period for Prince George’s County’s new automated speed enforcement program. It also marks the beginning of actual citations being issued when drivers are recorded traveling at least 12 miles per hour above the posted speed limit, Monday – Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., in designated school zones.

The Automated Speed Enforcement Program is intended to promote pedestrian safety, while deterring excessive speeding in Prince George’s County.
