PGPD Investigates Fatal Shooting in Upper Marlboro

The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating an early morning fatal shooting in Upper Marlboro. The decedent is 30-year-old Craig Ivan Corbin, Jr. of the 3300 block of Dorithan Road in Baltimore.
At about 2:40 am, a man called 911 to report he had just shot someone who was breaking into his home. When patrol officers arrived, they found Corbin outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals the decedent had been shot while trying to climb into a window. The resident and the decedent had a prior romantic relationship. Our investigators are working closely with the State’s Attorney Office, which will ultimately make a determination whether charges are filed in this case.
