PGPD's Aviation Unit Locates Missing Child; Earns International Recognition

The PGPD's Aviation Unit rescued a four-year-old lost in the woods in Bladensburg and received international acclaim for it.  The unit won the first place award at the Airborne Law Enforcement Association’s recent annual conference-- the premier event in the airborne law enforcement arena. The award was handed out in Orlando, Florida in July. The aerial search for the missing girl was recorded by an aircraft camera.  Please take a moment and watch highlights of the Aviation Unit’s award-winning rescue.
