are conducting an investigation into a fatal shooting on Thursday. The victim is 27-year-old Armani Coles of 2nd Street
in NW Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for
information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On December 28th, at about 6:20 pm, patrol officers were called to
the intersection of Kenilworth Avenue and Eastern Avenue in Capitol Heights to check on the welfare of a man lying in the
roadway. When the officers arrived, they
found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. He was taken to the
hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Preliminarily, it’s
believed the victim was pushed out of a vehicle after being shot. Detectives
are working to determine where the shooting occurred.
Detectives are also working to establish a motive and identify suspect(s).

Detectives Arrest Suspect in 2016 Homicide in Capitol Heights

Homicide Unit detectives have arrested a suspect in a 2016 homicide in Capitol Heights. The suspect is 30-year-old Reginald Clayburn of the 5000 block of Lee Jay Court in Capitol Heights. He’s charged in connection with the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Daryl Antjuan Walker of Walker Mill Road in Capitol Heights.
On May 31st, 2016, at about 9:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 800 block of Kayak Avenue for a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered the victim inside of a car suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives believe the fatal shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between the suspect and the victim.
Clayburn is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He’s being held at the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

Detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in Largo. The victim is 18-year-old Kelvin Robinson of Oxbridge Way in Bowie. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On December 26th, at about 9:30 pm, patrol officerslocated the victim inside of a vehicle in the area of Capital Lane and Capital Court. Robinson was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Chillum
Detectives continue to investigate the fatal shooting in Chillum on Tuesday. The deceased man is 32-year-old Deontae Parker of no fixed address.
On December 26th, at about 2:15 am, a resident of a home in the 6200 block of Sligo Parkway called 911 to report a shooting. When officers arrived, they discovered the deceased man outside with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
Preliminarily, detectives believe a homeowner shot Parker from inside of his home, striking Parker who had broken into the homeowner’s vehicle. Detectives have recovered video from the home’s surveillance system which shows Parker’s actions prior to the shooting. The handgun used in the shooting was recovered from the homeowner. It’s believed an additional suspect fled the scene prior to officers arriving. Detectives do not believe the homeowner and Parker knew each other.
Preliminarily, detectives are investigating whether the homeowner’s actions were justified.
Detectives are in consultation with the State's Attorney's Office regarding any potential criminal charges in this case.

We’re starting Wanted Wednesday this week with our active search for the robbery suspects who targeted two businesses in Lanham in an hour’s time. On December 23rd, at approximately 1:45 pm, two suspects robbed a gas station in the 9400 block of Lanham Severn Road.
About an hour later, the same suspects are linked to the robbery of a pizza restaurant in the 9000 block of Annapolis Road. Anyone with information on these suspects is urged to please call 301-772-4905 or 1-866-411-TIPS. We are offering a cash reward.

PGPD Investigates Fatal Shooting of Young Girl in Aquasco
Detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal
shooting of an 11-year-old girl inside of her home on Friday night.
Preliminarily, it appears to be an accidental shooting by a family member. That
family member is also a minor. There were adults in the home at the time of the
shooting.
On December 22nd, at approximately 9:55 pm, patrol officers were called to the
15000 block of Saint Phillips Road for the report of a shooting. Officers found
the young girl suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers and emergency medical
personnel attempted life-saving measures on the victim. She was pronounced dead
a short time later.
Detectives will consult with the State's Attorney's Office regarding any
potential criminal charges in this case.

Detectives Investigate Sexual Assault in Beltsville
Detectives are working to identify and arrest a man who sexually assaulted a woman Saturday morning in Beltsville. The victim did not know the suspect. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
The preliminary investigation reveals the suspect broke into the victim's home in the 10000 block of Lime Tree Way at approximately 5:45 am. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim and then fled the home.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 5'5" - 5'6" and 130 pounds. He wore a black sweatshirt with a white skull design on the front, blue jeans and black shoes.

*Please always lock your vehicle when you go into a store/mall
*Always remove any valuable items from your car – or lock them in your trunk
*Park in a well-lit area if possible
*If you deposit new purchases in your vehicle and head back into the store, please put those items in a locked trunk
Package Deliveries To Your Home:
*If possible, pick up the ordered item at the store
*Ship the item to your workplace
*Have a neighbor keep an eye out for the item if you know you won’t be home during the delivery window
*Have the item sent to a friend or family member who is home during normal delivery hours

Robbery Investigation
We’re starting Wanted Wednesday this week with photos of two suspects wanted in connection with a recent robbery in Oxon Hill. The preliminary investigation reveals the two men robbed a man in a parking lot in the 4000 block of Wheeler Road. This armed robbery happened at 12:05 pm on December 14th. The victim was not hurt.

Detectives working to make an arrest in a non-fatal shooting in Upper Marlboro would like to talk to the man in the above surveillance photo. The shooting took place on November 26th shortly after 1:00 pm in the 100 block of College Station Drive. The two victims were walking down the street when an unknown suspect in the pictured car shot at them. One of the victims was shot in the leg. The second victim wasn’t hurt. The car is described as a brown four-door sedan, possible a Toyota. The preliminary investigation reveals the two victims had gotten into an argument with the pictured person of interest at a convenience store prior to the shooting. Liquor Store Robbery
These two masked suspects are wanted for robbing a liquor store in Temple Hills Tuesday morning at approximately 6:45 am. The store is in the 3000 block of Naylor Road. The preliminary investigation reveals the suspects were both armed. They demanded the employees hand over cash. One of the employees suffered minor injuries during the robbery. Detectives Release Surveillance Video of Armed Truck Robbery in Beltsville

Unit detectives today released surveillance video of the brazen armored truck
robbery outside of a bank in Beltsville. The robbery took place last Friday at
approximately 10:30 am in the 10600 block of Baltimore Avenue. A cash reward is
being offered for information in this case.
On
the surveillance video, two armored truck company employees are seen depositing
money into the ATM when the armed suspects approach.
They
force both employees to the ground, take the money and then run toward an
awaiting getaway van. The van was recovered nearby. The employees were not hurt
during the robbery.

Detectives to Canvass Upper Marlboro Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation
This afternoon, Homicide Unit detectives will canvass an Upper Marlboro neighborhood as part of their investigation into the fatal shooting of a man on Friday. The victim is 53-year-old Kermit Holland of Vandiver Court in Upper Marlboro.
On December 15th, at about 10:50 pm, patrol officers responded to the 13400 block of Vandiver Court for the report of an unresponsive man inside of the garage of his home. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are also asking for our community’s assistance in locating the victim’s stolen SUV. The 2014 black Toyota Rav 4 with Maryland tags A176667 was taken during the homicide on Friday night.
The canvass is scheduled for 3:00 pm today and will begin in the 13400 block of Vandiver Court. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

PGPD Detectives Arrest Three Robbery Suspects Targeting Cell Phone Stores

Prince George’s County Police
Department Robbery Unit detectives charged three men in connection with a cell
phone store robbery in Capitol Heights on Sunday. Detectives also plan to
charge the men with two additional robberies at cell phone stores in the county
this month. The suspects were arrested on Sunday just minutes after
they committed the latest robbery in Capitol Heights. They are identified as
57-year-old Van Earl Eubanks of the 4000 block of Lyons Street in Temple Hills,
46-year-old Steve Alexander of the 3500 block of Everest Drive in Temple Hills
and 51-year-old Derrick Robinson of the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace in
Southeast DC.
On December 17th, at
approximately 12:45 pm, officers responded to a reported robbery at a store in
the 9000 block of Alaking Court. The suspects had walked in, demanded cash and phones and then fled. Prince George’s County Police officers spotted the
suspects’ van parked in a parking lot in the 7000
block of Marlboro Pike. The suspects were taken into custody without
incident.
The three suspects are currently
charged with Sunday’s robbery in Capitol Heights. PGPD detectives plan to
charge them with two additional robberies this month. Below are surveillance
photos from the robbery on December 12th at a store in the 6200
block of Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant. The suspects are also linked to the
robbery at another cell phone store in the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road in
District Heights on December 3rd.

In each of the cases, two of the suspects carried out the robbery inside of the targeted store while a third suspect waited outside in a getaway vehicle.

Detectives Search for Robbery Suspects Targeting Cell Phone Stores
Robbery Unit detectives are actively working to identify and arrest the suspects who have robbed two cell phone stores in the county this month. These same suspects are linked to multiple robberies in the District of Columbia.
The above surveillance photos were taken on Tuesday, December 12th, at a store in the 6200 block of Central Avenue in Seat Pleasant. The suspects also targeted another cell phone store in the 5400 block of Silver Hill Road in District Heights on December 3rd.
In both of these cases, two suspects robbed the stores while a third suspect waited outside in a getaway vehicle.

Suspect Charged for Making Bomb Threat at Power Plant

The Prince George’s
County Police Department’s Homeland Security Division charged a man for making
a bomb threat against the Keys Energy Plant in Brandywine. The suspect is
22-year-old Raekwon Dixon of the 2900 block of Brinkley Road in Temple Hills.
Dixon is an employee of a construction company currently building the power
plant.
On December 8th,
at approximately 7:30 pm, a bomb threat was reported at the facility on North
Keys Road. Plant management ordered an evacuation. A search of the facility
recovered no explosives. Investigators with the PGPD’s Homeland Security
Division and members of the Arson/Bomb Task Force opened an investigation into
the origin of the threat. The task force is comprised of PGPD officers and
members of the Prince George’s County Fire Department.
The preliminary
investigation reveals a plant supervisor received a text that indicated six
bombs were placed throughout the power plant facility and were set to detonate
later that evening. Through various investigative techniques, Dixon was
identified as the suspect. He was taken into custody on December 12th.
“We want our
community to know that we take seriously any and all threats of violence in the
county. Even if the originator of a threat has no intention to cause harm to
anyone, he or she could still face extensive criminal charges,” said Acting
Major Zachary O'lare of the Homeland Security Division.
A search warrant
executed at Dixon’s home revealed no materials necessary to make explosives.
Dixon is charged with
making a false statement regarding a destructive device, making a threat of
mass violence and making a bomb threat.

Theft
at Nail Salon
We
have clear photos of the three suspects linked to a theft at a nail salon in
Brandywine. The theft took place on November 30th at approximately
8:00 pm. Our preliminary investigation reveals one of these suspects stole a
purse at the salon in the 15000 block of Crain Highway. The victim’s credit
card was then used to make fraudulent purchases worth thousands of dollars. If

We’re also working to
identify these three suspects. They’re seen on surveillance video at a
convenience store – but we want to talk to them about a robbery in Landover.
Our preliminary investigation reveals the three suspects approached a victim as
he walked along 75th Avenue on November 8th. The suspects
assaulted the victim and stole his property before running off. The victim
suffered what appear to be minor injuries. If you know the identity of any of

Citizen Robbery at
Gas Station
Our detectives are
actively searching for this suspect. The preliminary investigation reveals he
stole an elderly victim’s wallet inside of a gas station in the 5000 block of
Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill. This occurred on December 11th at
about 6:10 pm. If you recognize this suspect, please call our detectives at

three robberies in recent weeks. The most recent robbery took place at a game
store on December 8th. The store is in the 8000 block of Branch
Avenue in Clinton. They’re also linked to a robbery on November 30th
at a fast food restaurant on Sargent Road and another robbery at a fast food
restaurant on Livingston Road on November 27th. Please call

Detectives Investigate Homicide in Town of Seat Pleasant

in the town of Seat Pleasant Friday. The victim is 30-year-old Jerry Merritt of
Clovis Avenue in Seat Pleasant. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for
information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.
On December 8th, at about 12:45 pm, Seat Pleasant Police officers and Prince George’s County patrol officers responded to the 400 block of 69th Place for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Responding officers also located an additional victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment of what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
