Driver Dies of Injuries from Collision

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a now fatal collision that occurred in January. The deceased driver is 86-year-old Paul Benoit of Greenbelt.

On January 23, 2025, at approximately 4:10 pm, officers responded to the area of Glenn Dale Boulevard and Daisy Lane for a report of a collision involving two vehicles. Benoit was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. He died on February 4, 2025. The second driver was not injured.

The preliminary investigation revealed the two involved vehicles collided in the intersection. The cause of the collision is under investigation.

Missing Woman Found Deceased

Update February 20, 2025: We are saddened to report Ms. Dixon has been located deceased. Preliminarily, there is no foul play suspected. We offer condolences to her family.

Holly Dixon

The Prince George’s County Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing woman. She is identified as 52-year-old Holly Dixon. She was last seen in the 3900 block of Garden City Drive in New Carrollton on January 31, 2025 at approximately 9:15 pm.

Ms. Dixon is a Black female, 5'5" tall and 125 pounds. Last seen wearing a black long sleeve top, blue jeans and Nike sandals.

PGPD Arrest Suspect in Domestic-Related Murder

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit charged a suspect in connection with the murder of his girlfriend. The suspect is 31-year-old David Wilson Jr. of Accokeek. He’s charged with the murder of 37-year-old Edna Lyles of Accokeek.
 
On February 5, 2025, at approximately 12:15 am, officers responded to the 15700 block of Livingston Road in Fort Washington for a reported shooting. Once on scene, officers located the victim inside of her home suffering from gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene. 
 
The preliminary investigation revealed Wilson shot the victim during an argument. Responding Fort Washington Division VII patrol officers arrested the suspect not far from the scene.
 
Wilson is charged with first and second degree murder. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.

PGPD Arrests Suspect in Fatal Stabbing

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Homicide Unit arrested and charged a man in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred Sunday evening. The suspect is 24-year-old William Tebo of Upper Marlboro. He’s charged with the murder of 43-year-old Tyrone Hager of Upper Marlboro.

On February 2, 2025, at approximately 6:45 pm, officers responded to the report of a fight in the 11000 block of Croom Road. Officers located the victim inside of a vehicle suffering from multiple stab wounds. Hager died at a hospital a short time later.

Through their investigation, detectives identified Tebo as the suspect. He was located and arrested a short time after the murder. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect stabbed the victim during a dispute. At this time, it does not appear they knew each other prior to this incident.

Tebo is charged with first degree murder and related charges. He’s in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
