Mohamed Bah

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested a suspect who shot a man inside a car in Calverton. The suspect was high on PCP at the time of his arrest. He is identified as 24-year-old Mohamed Sulaiman Bah of the 3300 block of Castle Ridge Circle in Silver Spring.

On May 15, 2013, at approximately 6:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 11900 block of Beltsville Drive for the report of a car accident. Upon arrival, patrol officers discovered a man in the back seat suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He remains in critical condition in the hospital.

The preliminary investigation reveals Bah fled from the scene following the shooting and made his way to the nearby Calverton Shopping Center. At some point, Bah had removed his clothing and had climbed onto a fire truck. Bah refused to comply with police orders to come down from the truck and remained there for several minutes acting in a belligerent manner. Once he did come down, a PGPD officer deployed his Taser to subdue Bah. He was taken into custody without any further incident. Patrol officers recovered the gun used in the shooting.

Bah is charged with attempted murder, first degree assault and other related charges.

The Prince George’s County Police Department will hold a news conference on this arrest this afternoon.
