The Prince George’s County Police Department is intensifying
efforts to cut crime and get guns off county streets. Each night
this January, up to 125 additional police officers will be deployed in the
focus areas identified in the county’s Transforming Neighborhoods Initiative.
The police officers are assigned to specialized divisions within
the PGPD to include narcotic squads, the gang unit, traffic enforcement squads,
the fugitive squad, robbery suppression teams and special assignment teams.
Members of the media are encouraged to attend Thursday evening’s roll
call before the additional police officers head out on assignment. The
Prince George’s County Police Department is partnering with the ATF in this
month-long operation.

Good! The more saturation the better - if the police can work well with the residents rather than scare them.
