Detectives to Canvass Neighborhood This Evening
The
Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a sexual assault that
occurred in Riverdale Park on Tuesday. Detectives today released video of a
person of interest they’d like to speak to in connection with the case. The
investigators will canvass the surrounding neighborhood this evening to gather
additional information.
The
investigation reveals on August 11, 2015, at about 5:50 am, the suspect
approached the victim who was waiting at a bus stop in the 4300 block of
Queensbury Road. The man struck the victim and forced her into a nearby car
where he sexually assaulted her. He then fled the area.
The
suspect is described as a black male in his late 20s, around 6'0”, a thin build and short curly hair with a beard. He had on
a black long sleeve shirt with a white shirt over it. He also had on a white
baseball cap. He was driving a black four-door car.
This evening, detectives will pass out Crime Solvers flyers
seeking information in this investigation. The canvass is scheduled to begin at
6:00 pm in the 4300 block of Queensbury Road. A reward of up to $25,000 is
being offered in this case.
