Melba Williams
The Homicide Unit arrested a woman in connection with the murder
of her boyfriend. The suspect is 41-year-old Melba Williams of the 1900 block
of Rochell Avenue in District Heights. The victim is 45-year-old Roger Allen of
no fixed address.
On February 17th, at about 11:00 pm, patrol officers
responded to the 1900 block of Rochell Avenue for the report of a stabbing.
When they arrived, the officers discovered the victim suffering from a stab
wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time
later.
The preliminary investigation reveals the couple was involved in
an argument, which led to the suspect fatally stabbing the victim. The suspect
and the victim were involved in a romantic relationship.
Williams was arrested on the scene by the responding officers. She
has admitted her involvement in the homicide. She is charged with first and
second degree murder along with assault charges. She is in custody of the
Department of Corrections on a no-bond status.
