Detectives with our Homicide Unit are conducting an investigation
into the fatal shooting of a man Monday night in Fort Washington. The
victim is 24-year-old Kinard Adams of Kennebec Street in Oxon Hill. A
reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest
and indictment in this case.
On December 3rd, at approximately 7:20 pm, patrol officers
were called to the 8500 block of Allentown Road for a report of a
shooting. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Adams in the parking lot of a
shopping center suffering from multiple gunshot
wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and a
motive.
