The Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a
fatal collision in Upper Marlboro on Thursday. The victim is 43-year-old
Antoine Bethea of Gaither Street in Temple Hills.
On February 28th, at approximately 10:35 pm, patrol officers were
called to the 11000 block of Old Marlboro Pike for a fatal collision
involving a single vehicle.
The preliminary investigation reveals Bethea was driving on Old Marlboro Pike,
when for reasons that remain under investigation, his vehicle left the roadway and ultimately struck a tree. The victim was pronounced dead on
the scene.
