The
Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision
in Accokeek. The victim is 57-year-old Johnnie Tyson Jr., of Doctor
Andrews Way in Indian Head.
On
October 3rd, at about 12:05 am, patrol officers were called to Indian Head
Highway at Livingston Road for the report of a single car crash.
The
preliminary investigation reveals Tyson was traveling southbound on Indian Head
Highway when, for reasons which remain under investigation, he crossed into the
northbound lanes and struck shrubbery before coming to a rest. He was
pronounced dead on the scene.
