The Homicide Unit is investigating
a fatal shooting that occurred over the weekend. The victim is 22-year-old Jose Romero-Salgado of District Heights.
On May 2nd, at approximately 6:50 pm, patrol officers were called to
the 5200 block of Carswell Avenue in Camp Springs for a shooting. Romero-Salgado was located outside suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was
pronounced dead a short time later.
Detectives are working to develop
suspect(s) and a motive.
Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random crime.

PGPD Investiga Mortal Tiroteo en Camp Springs
Nuestra Unidad de Homicidios investiga
un mortal tiroteo ocurrido durante el fin de semana. La víctima fue
identificada como Jose Romero Salgado, de 22 años de edad y vecino de District
Heights.
El 2 de mayo, a eso de las 6:50 de la
tarde, nuestros oficiales acudieron a la cuadra 5200 de Carswell Avenue en Camp
Springs tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Los oficiales hallaron a
Romero Salgado en las afueras del lugar con múltiples heridas de bala. A éste
le declararon muerto poco después.
Los detectives se encuentran
investigando para establecer el motivo del asesinato e identificar posibles
sospechoso(s). De manera preliminar, los detectives entienden que no se trata
de un crimen al azar.
