Detectives Investigating Double Fatal Shooting in Suitland

UPDATE: 32-year-old Michael Rodney Jackson Jr. of Suitland has been identified as one of the decedents in this case. The second victim has not yet been identified pending next of kin notification. 

Detectives with the Homicide Unit are working to arrest the suspect(s) who shot and killed two men Thursday night in Suitland. The names of the victims will be released once their families are informed and given time to make their own notifications.  

On September 2, 2021, at approximately 11:30 pm, patrol officers responded to the 4100 block of Suitland Road for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, officers located the victims inside of their apartment suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. They were both pronounced deceased on the scene.

Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify the suspect(s) in the case.

Detectives Investigan Mortal Tiroteo en Suitland que Deja Dos Muertos

Detectives de nuestra Unidad de Homicidios buscan arrestar al sospechoso(s) quien mató a tiros a dos individuos el jueves en la noche en Suitland. Los nombres de las víctimas serán divulgados una vez logremos notificar a sus familiares y estos a su vez puedan hacer sus propias notificaciones a allegados.

El 2 de septiembre de 2021, a eso de las 11:30 pm, oficiales de patrulla acudieron a la cuadra 4100 de Suitland Road tras recibir información sobre un tiroteo. Una vez llegaron a la escena, estos hallaron a las víctimas con claras heridas de bala, dentro de su apartamento. A ambos les declararon muertos en la escena.

Nuestros detectives buscan determinar cuál fue el motivo e identificar al/los sospechoso(s) de este caso.
