Pedestrian Succumbs to Injuries Sustained from Hit-and-Run Collision in May

Update June 5, 2025: The vehicle has been located. Investigators are still seeking the community’s assistance to identify the driver involved.


The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian that has now become fatal. The deceased pedestrian is 25-year-old Marquise Maddox of Washington, DC. He died from his injuries on June 1, 2025. 

On May 28, 2025, at approximately 9:50 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of Eastbound Oxon Hill Road and Livingston Road for a collision involving a pedestrian. Officers located the victim in the roadway suffering from trauma.

The preliminary investigation revealed the involved driver struck the victim and did not remain on scene. Investigators are seeking the community’s assistance to identify the driver and vehicle involved.
