Media Advisory: Detectives & Homicide Victim’s Mother Ask for Community’s Help


This Saturday, it will be one month since the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Allyssa Banks in Upper Marlboro. Detectives to continue to actively investigate. Those detectives and the victim’s mother are asking for the community’s help to find and arrest those responsible. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment.

On October 19th, at about 1:45 am, officers were called to the 10200 block of Prince Place for a shooting. When they arrived, they found Banks suffering from gunshot wounds. She died at the hospital. 

On Thursday, Allyssa’s mother will be at police headquarters to speak to members of the media, urging anyone with information to come forward.
